A WIP animation from Reaver, again featuring the tall mummy in action. 

A diffuse render with lighting of the background and the tall mummy. Got it working and then his head textures started screwing up, so it took a bit longer than it should have to get here, but it's looking good for not being comp'd yet.

These are character models made by Nicole. We really wanted the characters to contrast, and Nicole did a wonderful job of concepting and modelling the two.


This is our first animatic and we have changed A LOT since we made it. It isn't the finished product, but helps us get a feel for the story and timing etc. We have newer one, but I don't have it with me.

Lighting concepts

So these are our lighting concepts at the moment...still working on them, and experimenting with different types of light. We're thinking blue moon light and a dark look, but still light enough to see the action, to show that it's night. Done by Maddy and Juliana.

Concept Images

Below are concept images from our lovely artists. The bottom one is the current design for out characters, a tall weedy mummy and another short stocky one. They have anger issues. 
In the middle is a design for a hieroglyphic tablet which is going at the beginning to tell some back story. 
And at the top is a coloured set design, aiming for a museum look while still having a cartoony feel.

The Mummy Project

So we are of group of students from Academy of Interactive Entertainment Sydney and are currently working on our short film project for Year 2. Given a two minute time limit and with a team of 7, we have 5 months (one already gone) to create a stunning masterpiece. So at the moment we are in pre-production. Look forward to seeing our progress!
